Elizabeth Merritt is a Senior Trade Advisor at A.N. Deringer, assisting importers with a variety of customs compliance and international trade topics including classification, country of origin, free trade agreements, trade remedies and AD/CVD. She is a licensed customs broker and holds Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
Before joining Deringer, Elizabeth served as Managing Director of Cargo at Airlines for America, a Washington D.C.-based trade association representing major North American airlines. While there, she co-chaired subcommittees of the Customs Commercial Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) and TSA’s Aviation Security Advisory Committee and served as vice-chair of the International Air Transport Association’s Cargo Customs Working Group.
Prior to that, she managed customs and immigration compliance at Delta Air Lines and served as a policy advisor at the American Chamber of Commerce in Moscow.

Sarah Jeris is a dedicated Compliance Analyst at A.N. Deringer, Inc., where she has been contributing her expertise for nearly a year. With over 25 years of experience in customs compliance and trade management, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.
Before joining A.N. Deringer, Inc., Sarah served as the Customs Compliance and Consulting Manager at R+L Global Logistics for over three years.
Prior to her tenure at R+L Global Logistics, Sarah spent more than two decades at Russell A. Farrow as a Senior Manager of Trade Compliance. Her extensive experience there involved overseeing compliance operations, managing a team of professionals, and ensuring the company’s compliance with global trade laws.

With over 23 years of international trade experience, Chad Magoon-Drake is responsible for supervising all aspects of Deringer’s Compliance Department and overseeing Deringer’s Reconciliation Team, primarily servicing the oil and gas, chemical, base metal, and recycled paper industries. He held various positions with a nationally recognized Customs brokerage firm before joining Deringer in 2005 as a Team Leader.
Chad has since held roles in Import and Export Compliance as well as Duty Drawback. A Licensed Customs Broker since 2003, he also holds designations as a Certified Customs Specialist and Certified Export Specialist in addition to being a Certified Duty Drawback Specialist. Chad is a seasoned professional of Deringer’s Compliance Team based out of Champlain, NY.
