New customers must complete the following documents:

Before submitting these forms, please contact a Deringer employee at the port you plan to cross most frequently. A list of our offices can be found here.

If you complete the forms as a business entity:

  • Use your company’s legal name.
  • Have the forms signed by either the president, owner, or a signing officer of the company.
  • Further documents may be requested before account set up can be completed, such as a partnership agreement, articles of incorporation, business licenses, and/or business permits.

If you complete the forms as an individual:

  • A government-issued photo ID must accompany your completed forms.

For the Customer Information & Credit Application Form:

  • Sign and date the bottom of pages 2 and 4.
  • Initial at the end of pages 3, 5, 6, and 8 (even if you don’t see a space for it).
  • The credit application section must be completed in full. All new customers are required to establish a line of credit.

For the Power of Attorney:

  • A digital or handwritten signature is required on field 8 at the end of page 1. 
  • The corporate certification on page 2 is required for foreign corporations and must be completed by a second corporate officer.

Completing a bond application is only necessary for customers wishing to purchase an annual, continuous bond. If you aren’t sure if you should obtain a continuous bond, click here.
